DPD Romania – terms and conditions
- Here are the most important points of DPD’s parcel shipping regulations. Before sending a parcel or letter via DPD courier, read the regulations and make sure your package meets the conditions for a standard parcel. This will help you avoid additional fees, which the courier charges after verifying the information provided in the order form.
DPD Courier is a strategic partner of the Ecolet logistics platform. Thanks to years of cooperation and good relations with DPD, and especially the number of parcels sent, Ecolet offers better prices than the courier directly.

Excerpt from DPD Romania regulations – standard parcel services
See what conditions your parcel must meet in order to be classified as a standard DPD parcel:
Parcel size and weight:
Packages with the following dimensions and weights will be accepted:
Maximum weight:
- 30 kg – international shipments subject to express services;
- 31.5 kg – all other domestic and international shipments;
Maximum length:
- 120 cm for international shipments subject to express service,
- 175 cm for all other domestic shipments (including express service) and international postal shipments
Circumference + length ≤ 300 cm (circumference = 2 x height + 2 x width) for all domestic and international mailings.
Parcels exceeding the above size and weight limits will be treated as non-standard, which will result in additional charges.
Parcel packaging method:
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure adequate internal and external packaging for postal shipments, depending on the nature and weight of the contents, which must be wrapped in opaque external material so that the contents cannot be seen. Packages shall be packed compactly.
In the case of postal shipments involving fragile goods, the Customer is obliged to provide appropriate packaging for the nature of the fragile goods entered into the DPD network, using polystyrene or other material as an insert (e.g., bubble wrap, etc.) that mitigates mechanical shocks and is marked “Fragile.”
In any case, the Beneficiary must ensure that the packaging is such that the contents of the parcels are adequately secured against falling during the sorting process (from a height of 80 cm). In addition, it is mandatory that the contents of the parcel cannot be accessed without leaving traces.
When packing, the customer must ensure that the goods to be shipped are not packed in several individual packages tied/fastened together and shipped on a single transport document.
